The IWA-Aspire Conference is a leader in the Asian and Pacific regions, bringing together key stakeholders from government, academia and research, utilities, development agencies and industry. The conference addresses both the serious water and wastewater challenges facing the region, and the opportunities for collaboration and innovation that will move us towards a sustainable water future. The expanding economies of the region, and the health and well-being of its citizens, need a safe, reliable and (most importantly) sustainable supply of water. This is critical to meet the energy, agricultural and industrial needs of the region, but is also vital for ecosystem sustainability.
The 7th IWA-Aspire conference hopes to inspire us, the water sector, towards “Breaking Boundaries”. This is both necessary and symbolic in a world where the economic and political trends are moving towards protectionism. Water knows no boundaries, and to achieve a sustainable water future, the water sector must also “break boundaries”.
